Venice Biennale: The Venice Pavilion - Mari Verticali

Venice Biennale:  The Venice Pavilion – Mari Verticali . The video installation Vertical Seas by Fabrizio Plessi is characterized by the extraordinary conditions it invites us to engage with.  The boats all lean at exactly the same angle, their bows pointing upwards.  The long windows set into the decks show images of different seas, a planetary vision.  The noise is almost deafening.  The vibrant flashes of blue and white light flare up against the dark hulls set in rhythmic cadence along the semicircular wall of the Venice Pavilion, which has been restored and opened to the public.  Truly noteworthy is the significance, which the sponsors of the restoration, Arzanà Navi and Louis Vuitton, have given to the project; sailing, art, design, style are common ingredients, the key of the fruitful encounter with a maison like Louis Vuitton.  Renzo Dubbini curated the installation.
