London: Gastropub – The Bird in the Hand

London: Gastropub – The Bird in the Hand. The gastropub, The Bird in the Hand, is third of four restaurants for restaurateur Jasper Gorst. Set in the heart of Brook Green, Kensington and a short walking distance from Holland Park, and Shepherd’s Bush, it is appropriately named; as the proverb goes… “A bird in the hand - is worth two in the bush”.

Gastropub – The Bird in the Hand.  Head chef Steve prepares delicious, simple yet sophisticated gastropub food.  He combines British and European classics and enhances them by using modern techniques with his own interpretation. The Menu is divided into five sections; Garden – Land – Sea – Land – and - Heaven.
Above. Burrata, Roasted Cherry Tomato and Basil Tart. The food is served on pretty mismatched antique plates from flea markets.

Gastropub – The Bird in the Hand. With terracotta hues, bricks, tiles and natural wood, the spartan decor combines restaurant functionality and stylish English pub furnishings. The corner bar located in the center of the restaurant is in keeping with classic English pub style.
