from Venice”
“Greeting
from Venice”, writes Maria Luisa Frisa, curator, fashion historian, author and
director of the degree program in Fashion/Design at the Universita Iuav di
Venezia. The Fashion/Design course, which was based in Treviso for the past ten
years is moving to Venice in September. Appropriately to celebrated the
first decade of the degree course, and to mark the beginning of the next, a stage
was set up for the graduation shows right in front of the Canale della Giudecca, in between the Faculty
of Architecture in the ex-Magazine Frigoriferi (cold-storage warehouses) and
the ex-Magazzini Ligabue, premises of which will become the campus of the
Fashion/Design courses in the future. Overlooking the Canale della Giudecca the ex-industrial area, at San Basilio is far from the bustle and tourists, of central
Venice, and the new venue will be very stimulating for the students. Concludes

Fashion at IUAV 2015. The BA+MA graduation fashion show, choreographed and curated by Mario Lupano, presented the
best collections of clothes and accessories designed by the graduates of the
BA+MA, courses coordinated by designers Arthur Arbesser, Veronika
Allmayer-Beck, Michel Bergamo, Cristina Zamagni, Fabio Quaranta and Paulo Melim
Andersson.

to the Hilton Mulino Stucky Venice hotel.
