Venice: Biennale – Around Town – Palazzo Falier - Sean Scully – Land Sea.
The exhibition presents a selection of monumental works made for the occasion,
representing the research that Scully has undertaken in recent years,
contributing significantly to the debate on the importance of abstract art in
the contemporary. Those Scully, writes
Danilo Eccher, the curator of the exhibition, are "works that suggest a
poetic dimension but do not escape the experience of light, alla its
rifrangenza, its expansion chromatic, sinking in the tradition of Venetian
coloring and insisting in the rigor of a current conceptualism.”

Palazzo Falier - Sean Scully – Land Sea. The Venetian project has led
the artist to relate to his memories of the lagoon city, the colors and
movement of water, the bricks but also with the suggestions of the luminosity
of Tintoretto, with the tonality of Bellini and Titian materiality color.
