Milan - Salone del Mobile: Paracastello – Nigel Coates. Imagine
that you are in Tuscany and about to enter the wonderland of Castello di
Potentino. The Paracastello Nigel Coates, Potentino exhibition is a design show
that translates the visceral world of the inhabited castle into a living
environment. From the bed to the glasses
on the dinning table, it combines furniture and objects united by a certain
sobriety and a belief in the well made.
As well as capturing the essence of the object, it aims to instigate a
dialogue between a specific sense of place and everyday living. These are the pieces of a jigsaw that might
be derived from Castello di Potentino, but when assembled, compete a picture
that celebrates the way you live in it. Designs inspired by the Castello di
Potentino by Nigel Coates, Clare Frost, Gerry De Bastiano and Jono Nussbaum.

between man, nature, earth and climate; a symbiosis based on observation and
respect, sensibility and discipline. Just 30km from Montalcino, Castello di
