Milan - Salone del Mobile: Marni Mercado de Paloquemao. Marni presented
the Mercado de Paloquemao, the new limited charity project. Inspired by the
market of Bogota, Colombia, Marni offered a setting in which the protagonists
are the bright colors of exotic fruits from a distant land, their forms and
their interpretation. The installation was awarded the prize Best Impact of the
Milan Design Award for "the great visual impact, tied hand in glove to an
ongoing project of social support. The opulence of nature is in harmony with
the desire to involve the city through an opportunity for exchange and
openness.”

The limited editions of objects and furniture are made entirely by hand in
Colombia, involving a group of women who have found work through their
independence and emancipation.
