Treviso: Modesign - State Archives of Treviso:
Cloister of Santa Margherita – Textile Typo exhibition. The exhibition Textile
Typo, until July 12 is held in the State Archives of Treviso in the
extraordinary cloisters of Santa Margherita. Textile Typo, archive, recycling and design procedures is
curated by Maria Cristina Cerulli with Martina Bernardi and is a project
of IUAV University of Venice with the woolen mills Paoletti di Follina 1795. The
exhibition features the work of ten graduate students in Fashion
Design. It is the outcome of a workshop born within a wider research,
entitled Textile and Fashion Hub: how to extend the life cycle of fashion
fabrics and other materials, presided by scientific director Alessandra
Vaccari. The exhibition was developed from the need to communicate in
active reality that today, more than ever, the need to feed off each other:
academia, businesses, cultural heritage institutions, which together explore
the relationship between innovation and forms of conscious use of resources for
the common good.
