Today is Ottavio Missoni's 90th Birthday.
Ottavio Missoni, creator with his wife Rosita, of the world brand fashion label Missoni and a great man of sports, finalist at the Olympic Games in London in 1948, is 90 today. Tai, as he is known by his friends, tells in his first book (published by Rizzoli) entitled, One Life on the Woolen Yarn: the sports life, the creation of the fashion empire and many episodes and meetings with famous personalities of art, of culture and of journalism. The book also pays homage and commemorates Italian, Istrian and Dalmatian exiles and the Foibe Massacres after the Second World War.
