MILAN: Salone del Mobile 2010 - Nilufar

Seen at Nilufar - Architects and Designers.      Barnaba Fornasetti and Andrea Salvetti.

Litomatrice.  The one-piece Litomatrice wardrobe designed by Barnaba Fornasetti for Nilufar Edition is made with original lithographs, zinc plate on wood and based on an original design by Gio Ponti.

Seen at Nilufar - Architects and Designers.  Emmanuel Babled.

Quark and Quark Low.  Quark and Quark Low coffee tables designed by Emmanuel Babled for Nilufar Edition. Quark is realized by Tor Art in white Carrara marble.  These different organic shaped side tables are a composition of horizontally sliced voids of different sizes.  To produce this furniture, cutting-edge technology was used, such as an anthropomorphic robot and a 3D scanner that guides tools directly from a 3D file, thus obtaining a degree of fidelity and perfection that is difficult to find in manual artistry.  The Quark Low table is realized by Metea in white and transparent plexiglas.
