L’Adelaide – Emilio Tremolada - documentary
The docu-film L’Adelaide,
directed by Emilio Tremolada, tells
the story of Driade design brand, founded
in 1968 by Enrico Astori, his sister
Antonia and his wife Adelaide Acerbi. Adelaide died in 2009.
In 2013, the Astori family sold the company to Italian Creation Group, which is still producing and distributing
the collections. This documentary honors Adelaide's creativity: she was
completely in charge of communications, responsible for the company's graphic
design, as well as art director of the catalogues and house organs and organized
the unforgettable parties in the company's historic showroom in Via Manzoni, Milan. This documentary is
also a story of Driade, since the two are intimately connected. Through many
interviews, it chronicles the genesis of some of the iconic
projects and successes that defined the studio's history.
