Venice Museo Correr: Palazzo Reale – Galleria Napoleonica – Antonio Canova. The
president of the Comite Francais pour la Sauvegarde de Venise, Jerome
Zieseniss together with the Mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro welcomed
the Minister of Heritage, Culture and Tourism, Dario Franceschini for a tour of
the renovated rooms of the Palazzo Reale and Galleria Napoleonica with
masterpieces by Antonio Canova in the Museo Correr.

The Empress’ Bed Chamber
The Empress’ Bedchamber, in the Imperial Rooms of the Royal
Palace in the Museo
Correr, built by Napoleon and then used as a royal residence by
the Hapsburg Court and also home to the Empress Sissi when she stayed in Venice.
It is one of the nine rooms, which has
been restored by the Comite Francais
pour la Sauvegarde de Venise. The fabric on the walls and the curtains have
been faithfully reproduced by Rubelli.
