Venice: Hotel Liassidi Palace: Franco Fornasier – Illusion chandelier. In
the setting of the fifteenth century Palazzo Zorzi-Liassidi, now
the Liassidi Palace Hotel, until September 29, Illusion is a surprise, magic in a hand blown carbon fiber
chandelier by maestro glassblower Franco Fornasier. It is a cross between art,
design and technology in a site-specific installation where light is diffused
and conducts a dialogue with the spaces of a Venetian salon while other senses
are brought into the experience as well. It channels light and radiates pure
sound of glass vibrations. Each element
has been manually tuned to attain acoustic perfection. A true surprise.
