MOST: Tom Dixon – Luminosity exhibition.  The Luminosity exhibition for Milan Design week was “An exploration of light. On a mission to illuminate and furnish the future, we aim to de-mystify preconceptions of artificial light and to educate people on the future of lighting. Using the latest technologies and materials, drawn from the worlds of engineering, mathematics and nature, our new products shed as much light on the mechanisms and effects of luminous objects as on the design aesthetic itself.” Tom Dixon.
Above: Etch Web is a vast wide shade with an unusual open structure, designed to cast atmospheric angular shadows when lit. Formed from copper anodized aluminum through a process of digital photo-acid etching, an oversized LED bulb is suspended within the center to make it the ultimate shadow play pendant.

MOST: Tom Dixon – Luminosity exhibition Lustre is the first Tom Dixon ceramic pendant light, which uses a top-secret glaze to give a striking iridescent sheen.  The striking color change effect is reminiscent of hidden colors in nature, seen in peacock feathers or oil slicks on water. No two shades ever look the same.

MOST: Dezeen Studio. Leading design and architecture blog, Dezeen set up Dezeen Studio powered by Jambox at MOST. The broadcast center furnished by Tom Dixon held exclusive live interviews and stream coverage of the freshest new content in Milan.
