VENICE: “Floating Bookshops”. The first seventeen days of September saw the first Venetian edition of Subway-Literature: 500,000 copies of unpublished short stories and poems by young Italian writers were be distributed for free through several “literary jukeboxes” set up at the main the vaporetti stops. Printed on recycled paper, this initiative is already well known to the public of subways in the cities of Milan, Naples and Rome.
