Milan: MFW – Emporio Armani – Autumn/Winter 2013/2014. The Emporio Armani Autumn/Winter 2013 collection’s title is Kajal.  Kajal as range of colours, from soft creams and pinks to dark shades and mineral hues. Its simplicity and clean lines are enhanced by contrasting accessories, used playfully, which evoke contemporary culture and unpredictable aesthetics and different eras.

Emporio Armani Autumn/Winter 2013. The collection offers very feminine shapes – sometimes long, with sculptural forms, where the surprising use of rough-cut neoprene renders the clothing extremely modern. Double-breasted coats emphasize new proportions. New lengths cover the knee or reach the ankle, the tone lightened by the soft gleam of a bare leg.

Milan: MFW – Missoni Winter 2013.  The Missoni  woman loves fashion and life without constraints or rigid schemes. Freedom, naturalness and comfort define her elegance. She is a contemporary sophisticate taking on the day and confronting her time dressed in ethereal slippery outfits. Open forms, informally and sensually accompanying her quick pace, as soft and warm as pashminas.

Missoni Winter 2013.  Held by ribbons, her coats are long, wide and comfortable like dressing gowns to be fastened and unfasten in motion. While soft sweaters, tank tops, trousers and dresses evoke jumpsuits or slip-dresses, languidly slipping on her body and revealing unexpected open cuts, high slits, flashes of flesh.

Missoni Winter 2013.  The outerwear winks to underwear and loungewear, in the Missoni Winter 2013, that makes co-exist very clear, pearly, frosty tones, from white to pink to grey, with more  subtle shades of grey cement, aluminum, steel or black. Including small pattern motifs that slope to solid. Knits illuminated by colorful angora grafts or by allover embroidery of small sequins.

Milan: MFW – Palazzo Crespi - The New York Times party.  The New York Times held a party, in the magnificent rooms of Palazzo Crespi, to celebrate Deborah Needleman’s inaugural issue of T magazine, The New York Time’s Style Magazine. “T is a magazine about style in all its dimensions. As such, it aspires not merely to reflect the times we live in, but to illuminate cultural shifts in a thought-provoking and exciting way. Style, to us, encompasses all the elements of life that aren’t absolutely necessary, but without which life would be less charmed, less beautiful and certainly not as fun.” Needleman writes in the Editor’s Letter of the magazine.
