– Art: Fondazione Mudima – Daniel Spoerri
exhibition. The Daniel Spoerri exhibition at the Fondazione Mudima, until
February 9, is entitled Il Bistrot di Santa Marta, the patron saint of housewives, cooks, hoteliers and restaurateurs.
Twenty-one tableaux present assemblies of kitchen utensils, all objects found
by the artist at flea markets across Europe, preserved and fixed in ideal collections; a reference to the act of collecting, to the memory
of lived situations, traditions and
customs that define a kind of archaeological reconstruction of our times,
relived through the age-old practice and archetypal as the preparation and
consumption of food.

series of real dinners will also take place during the exhibition in the gallery
themed under the supervision of Daniel Spoerri himself. A catalog will later gather
the documentation of the banquets and will be published by the Fondazione Mudima.
