NYC. Maialino restaurant.

NYC. Maialino restaurant.  A corner of the coffee bar area of the Maialino restaurant, or little pig, located in hotelier Ian Schrager’s Gramercy Park Hotel. It is one of restaurateurs Danny Meyer’s restaurants along with Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, Eleven Madison Park and the restaurants at the Museum of Modern Art. Maialino is open throughout the day, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Maialino restaurant.  Maialino marks chef Nick Anderer’s debut as executive chef. Nick has long been passionate about the cuisine of Italy, having studied in Rome at the same Trinity College program Danny Meyer had attended many years ago.  The restaurant serves Roman-style cooking and features fresh, season ingredients from the nearby Union Square Greenmarket and local farms.
