Bologna: People and Art - Arte Fiera weekend

photograph by manfredi bellati

Palazzo Fava – Piano Nobile.   A view of the newly restored ceiling and frescos of Palazzo Fava during the opening.   The palace's distinctive feature is given by the invaluable painting cycles decorating six rooms in the piano nobile: there, Agostino, Annibale and Ludovico Carracci depicted the stories of Europe, Jason and, partially, the feats of Aeneas. The antique art on the walls comes from the Fondazione Carisbo and includes works, amongst others by, Guercino and Guido Reni.
