VENICE: Palazzina Grassi hotel. Near the museum Palazzo Grassi on the Grand Canal is the first hotel in Italy designed by multifaceted Philippe Starck. The lobby/lounge of the Palazzina Grassi hotel is decorated with artwork everywhere, Murano glass and a mix of chairs, sofas and tables, is very welcoming.  On one side, behind marble columns, is the bar and on the other the restaurant section open 24hrs. The attention to detail and the casual atmosphere makes guests feel at home. The twenty-six guestrooms show the marriage of ancient and contemporary, romantic design, some suites have spectacular views of the Grand Canal.


The restaurant section. The restaurant section on the ground floor has a show kitchen and is a modern reinterpretation of the historic Venetian cicchetterie. Seating on high bar aluminum Starck designed stools at the long marble table, visitors can enjoy the best traditional dishes of the lagoon at any time of the day and night.
